Now, let’s do an activity. I want you to guess the meaning of ‘Going forward’ from the sentence below…
“Going forward, I want us all to work as a team. I want workers who help to make our company the best!”
Can you guess the meaning?
Well… ’Going forward’ means:-
from now on
or
in the future.
EXAMPLES
And here’s another example of how to use the phrase:-
“We need to find out if increasing our sales workforce will increase our profits going forward.”
And another example sentence…
“I’m not sure what to do yet. I haven’t decided what our strategy going forward is going to be.”
And a final example…
